In 1782 the Emperor Jozef II formed a wind ensemble at his court – launching a golden age of wind ensemble music. During this time, it was very popular to arrange Mozart operas for wind ensemble.
This podcast looks a new CD of arrangements of The Magic Flute and La Clemenza di Tito, as played by the Saxonian Wind Academy.
