Raymond Bisha was born in Halifax, Canada. He grew up there and in Saskatoon, on the Canadian prairie. At the age of ten he began studying French Horn, and for the next 20 years, it was his consuming passion.
Raymond studied music at the University of Toronto, and at the Musikhochschules in Detmold and Cologne, Germany. As a professional musician he played with various orchestras in Canada, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
In 1987, he moved back to Canada to pursue his interest in arts management. After working as Television Production Manager, and Tour Manager for the Canadian Opera Company, he moved to CBC Radio 2, as programmer and studio director for the morning classical program.
For 15 years, Raymond and his wife Carol also ran an innovative chamber music series in Toronto. Since 1995 Raymond has worked for Naxos where he has produced CDs (Mystery of Christmas, and Northern Winds), special compilations (An Introduction to Canadian Music), and has at different times looked after Press, Publicity, Radio Promotions Marketing and Website design for the Canadian division of the company. Besides his podcast work, Raymond is currently Naxos Radio Promotions Manager for North America.
