The Plow

NPR’s Elizabeth Blair discussed the new Naxos DVD of the New Deal films The Plow that Broke the Plains (1936) and The River (1938) - featuring newly-recorded versions of the soundtracks by Virgil Thomson - on Weekend Edition this past Saturday.

There is an accompanying web page on NPR.org, where you’ll find video clips of the films, production stills, and other internet material related to the DVD.
