
NPR’s Elizabeth Blair discussed the new Naxos DVD of the New Deal films The Plow that Broke the Plains (1936) and The River (1938) - featuring newly-recorded versions of the soundtracks by Virgil Thomson - on Weekend Edition this past Saturday.
